EnergyCircle is a project that meets the urgent need for long-term and sustainable energy planning in the Baltic Sea region.
The project was launched in response to the uncertain global situation in 2022 and high energy prices. It follows the EU’s goal of becoming more independent of external energy, and wants to move from short-term solutions to long-term strategies – from “sprint to marathon”.
EnergyCircle helps authorities, companies and other key stakeholders with tools and methods to plan and implement smart, sustainable energy solutions. Some key results are an analysis showing how ready different stakeholders are to drive the energy transition, and a method to show how sustainable energy plans can be developed.
The following main solutions and activities are implemented:
- The Methodology for EnergyCircle Builders Competence Analysis will support the target group in their evaluation of the coverage of the Competence Profile, and will deliver a Builder Competence Report with a proposal of actions.
- The Methodology for EnergyCircle Roadmap is a solution designed to help business support centres and local administration in their process of promoting energy independency of the territory.
- Testing and implementation of both solutions.
Partners in the project come from Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Sweden and Germany.
